这两天都在整理 i-周刊，看有哪些要丢掉，好让出多一些空间，哪些要收起来（因为舍不得丢，虽然收了都不知做啥用）。

翻着翻着，看着过去娱乐事，还挺娱乐的。似乎能带我回从前。。。

Water Fools (Ilotopie street theatre, France)

An aquatic spectacular, the Water Fools marked the opening of the Singapore Arts Festival. It was performed on water, at Boat Quay. Kinda refreshing, cos it's my first time watching such a performance :)

*老妈，虽然我没什么艺术天份，但这确实是我亲手做的啦。。。还蛮像样吧，哈哈。。。

Finally finally...the E-420!

Having heard about it for so, so long, the Olympus E-420 digital SLR is finally coming to Singapore! This is how it looks like:

Nah, I am not changing camera... just that something I like about Olympus, the E-4XX series (camera body) are the design (retro look) and that it is compact and light. Good for girls with small hands like me haha. Nevertheless, something that stopped me from buying E-410 last time was that it has no live view, and the crop factor mainly.

Now the new model, E-420, is hitting Singapore in June! World's most compact digital SLR (note: refering to its camera body only); it is slim, and got face detection and... liVe vIeW! Hmm...not bad huh...If you pick the appropriate lense to go with it, it can act as a superb high picture quality "prosumer camera". But the price is also of "higher quality" lah haha.

Why do I sound like I am promoting E-420?....haha. Still, there's pros and cons about SLR cams. Must consider seriously before plunging into it, cos' it's either loving it, or regretting. :P

Oh happy day~ oN 20052008

Cos I met Miss Foong in the neighbourhood today! She's bringing P3 students to the mini park at Serangoon Central to water the trees that Yangzheng has adopted. (yea, the park which has a few trees around, there's a concrete stage too)

She's my P5 and 6 form teacher, teaching English, Maths and Science. Miss Foong's good, I tell you. Very knowledgeable, very responsible teacher. Students taught by her are in good hands. I am no exception, wahaha...

10 years since then (I'm the 1998 batch), she has not changed much. Or rather, she has not changed, haha. She looks as serious as ever when she teached. Hairstyle the same too. That's why I managed to spot her, and her voice. Hehheh. Told her some updates of mine (now having holidays, graduated, etc).

And she recognized me! So happy :)

I think she's happy too, that her student has grown up from a little kid, and is ready to make her first step into the 'real' world.

While China is receiving adequate help for its Sichuan earthquake from its people and all around the world, I think Myanmar's situation is more worrying.

It has been 15 days since Cyclone Nargis hit Myanmar and the junta has insisted that "Myanmar can cope alone and has set up checkpoints to keep foreigners out of the disaster zone". Read today's Straits Times (May17, Saturday) to find out more.

Can the aid and relief reach the people in time? Millions are still waiting. While the cyclone left tens of thousands dead, millions homeless, its government could still "push on with last Saturday's national referendum on a new Constitution". The worst has not come; if the situation continues to be so, there could be an outbreak of disease; even more torturing to its people.

What is the junta thinking? I can't understand.

身在福中要知足

这几天，相信每当收看到有关于四川大地震的新闻（尤其是那附有画面的电视新闻）时，大家的眼眶也都会湿湿的吧。。。

当一些人正在与死神搏斗、或极力求生存时，我却正在舒适的环境中享受现在、盘算将来。

我们太、太、太幸福了！生活在新加坡也十分幸运。

能健康地活着已是福气，还要奢求什么?（可惜，人就是会贪，有了一些，就开时想要更多）

所以我想说，大家，也包括我，都一定要学会知足、珍惜。

愿更多灾民获救，愿他们都安然无恙。保佑保佑。

New chapter

My first lap of 22 years has roughly ended. Thinking back, so far...so good, keke. I mean, I'm thankful for whatever experiences I had and have not.

This is Ching's brand new blog, to mark a new chapter of Ching's journey :) Think that's so for many peeps too. 我们快正式地踏入大人世界了。。。

So friends and buddies, enjoy the holidays, enjoy in whatever you're doing, even if u're just zo bor-ing, must enjoy the moments of doing nothing too!
