Sights @ Syd - Darling Harbour

You can easily find restaurants, cafes, shopping outlets, museums, etc, at Darling Harbour. And the main shopping mall is Harbourside.

Cockle Bay Wharf

Went to eat the famous Pancakes On.The.Rocks at Darling Harbour too. (I supposed that's the franchise, with the original outlet at The Rocks, haha)

The pancakes are quite nice. Well done~

The crepes are...ok~

Star City contains Sydney's only casino. A pretty poshed place. Siang at I watched Phantom of the Opera at Lyric Theatre, which is also in Star City.

Able to see anything? Cos' photography is actually not allowed in casino, haha...

Phantom of the Opera is very nice, worth watching! Effects, music, voices are great! :)

Sights @ Syd - Sydney Fish Market

Thinking hard of where, and how should I start. Cos' there's too many stuff.

So I shall begin with my first outside meal at Syd, keke. 因为民以食为天嘛。 :P

No fantastic scenery like the opera house or habour bridge. But it's one of my favourite places, cos' the seafood is very, very fresh. Especially the oysters!

The sea urchin... which will become some orangy stuff as show in the pic below. The taste is soso only (to me lah).

From left to right: seaweeds, sea urchin and salmon sashimi.

You can choose to sit inside:

Or outdoor:

Oyster & me

Lotsa seagulls in Syd. Keep close watch of your food, or the seagulls may attack on them haha.

There was performance while we were eating: seagull balancing on wire!

Food is so nice and fresh... that we went back for the second time (third last day of my trip):

Do squeeze lemon juice on the oysters before eating. Will taste better.

Back home~ :)

Realized that blog can be quite useful too, especially for travels, will need to write and document what I've seen, heard and done :) Will definitely forgotten after some time if I don't record anything down.

12 days in Sydney, will need to break down into several entries, or I will faint from blogging haha. Shall need some time to sort the photos, and shall do it as soon as possible before my memory starts to fade :P

Time flies...

It's the ninth day of my travel!

Just back from Blue Mountains. Quite tired, cos' Siang and I walked a lot a lot and climbed many many stairs over the past three days in Blue Mountains. But it's nice, got lotsa nice scenery, all nature... Mountains and waterfalls and caves which we don't get to see in Singapore.

Three more days before I hit back to Singapore!

Challenge from the weather

It has been raining these few days in Sydney. Weather's very very unpredictable over here, as the clouds move fast. Can be sunny now, and the next minute it is drizzling. The only comforting thing is that the rain drizzles, no heavy downpour. Heng in one way.

So, lighting becomes hard to control. You can use one setting on your camera this minute and it works out fine, the next minute it rains, you gota change ur settings again. Hard to control. Need a lot of skill. As if I got a lot of skill. Lotsa improvements to make.

And then because it rains, the sky is cloudy. Hope it's sunny tomorrow. Photos will turn out much nicer then :)
I appreciate the architecture in Sydney. Each with its unique style. Lotsa stuff for me to look around in this city.

Sydney. Winter. Rainy.

My fourth day in Sydney! haha.
Wanted to be more 'serious' and try travel photography during my grad trip. Those artistic photographs...

But in the end, when the Singapore sua ku (me loh) reached Sydney, everything is so new and fresh to me... that I lost my focus, don't what I should shoot exactly. So what I've ended up taking are superbly touristy photos... shoot here a bit shoot there a bit. Sometimes I don't even shoot, just let the image 'photographed' into my memory, cos' I feel that the importance of photography is to add on the enjoyment of experiencing the journey and not to be so occupied in shooting that you forget to experience.
